Schools Group

The Schools Group was newly set up in January 2010 with the aim of improving sustainability and knowledge of Climate Change within the schools in the Haslemere area.
We aim to establish what schools are already being tasked with in terms of government initiatives. We will follow that up by meeting with a pilot group of local schools to get an understanding what the schools are doing, before expanding to the wider group of local schools. If there are gaps then we will look to see how we can help the schools fill those gaps.
Our ultimate aim is to facilitate the fulfilment of the schools needs by providing a network of resources to allow the schools to make progress towards sustainability and to enrich the knowledge of sustainability within the staff and pupils.
