Transition Town Haslemere is a voluntary organisation which aims to facilitate community action on the issues of climate change and peak oil.
Steering Group
The organisation is run by a 12-strong Steering Group of volunteers who set-up the initiative and co-opted other members. In line with the Transition Network aims, the original Steering Group will eventually disband and be reformed with the leaders of the working groups.
Steering Group usually meets on the first Monday evening of the month in the Town Hall (see the diary). The minutes of these meetings can be read here

Working Groups
Transition Town Haslemere has three working groups at present – Energy & Transport, Schools and Landshare. We also plan to launch further groups in the future. The Steering Group also has a designated member with the role of Local Council liaison.
Working Groups meet at different times to Steering Group, please see the diary for dates.
Annual General Meeting (AGM)
The group held its first AGM in January 2010, where the election of officers took place. The Chair’s annual report can be seen here
